Privacy Policy page for JobsthatSponsor

This Privacy Policy explains what information Jobs That Sponsor (“we,” “us,” or “the Site”) collects, how we use it, and — most importantly — what we don't do with it. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

1. Information we collect

We collect the minimum information needed to run the service:

Email address — collected when you sign up for free weekly previews, or when you subscribe to the paid plan.

Subscription and billing information — if you subscribe to the paid plan, our payment processor (Stripe) collects and stores your payment details directly. We do not receive, see, or store your full card number at any point.

Basic usage information — standard technical information (such as browser type and general location derived from IP address) that most websites collect automatically for security and performance purposes.

We do not ask for, and do not need, sensitive information such as your visa status, immigration case details, or government identification numbers to use this site.

2. How we use your information

We use the information above only to:

Deliver the hiring list, curated lists, and other paid content to paid subscribers.

Send educational and promotional emails to free subscribers, including previews of paid content, intended to help you decide whether to upgrade to the paid plan.

Send service-related emails to paid subscribers (billing receipts, account notices, and similar).

Respond to support requests you send us. Maintain the security and reliability of the site.

3. We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party, for any reason. We do not share your email address or usage data with advertisers, data brokers, or other companies for their own marketing purposes.

4. Third-party service providers

To run the site, we rely on a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf, under their own security and privacy practices. These are not third parties we sell or share your data with for marketing — they're the infrastructure the service runs on:

Ghost — our membership platform. Paid subscriber accounts, billing status, and content delivery are managed through Ghost.

Stripe — our payment processor. Stripe handles and stores all payment card information directly; we never receive your full card number.

Kit (ConvertKit) — our email service provider for the free preview list. Your email address is stored with Kit if you sign up for free previews.

Hosting infrastructure — standard web hosting and content delivery providers used to serve this website.

5. Email communications and opting out

Every marketing or preview email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can opt out of the free preview list at any time with one click. Paid subscribers receive service- essential emails (such as billing receipts) tied to their subscription, which continue until the subscription ends, separate from marketing opt-out preferences.

6. Data retention

We retain your email address and subscription information for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward for legal, accounting, and fraud- prevention purposes. You can request deletion of your data at any time — see Section 8 below.

7. Data security

We rely on our service providers' industry-standard security practices (encryption in transit, access controls, and similar measures) to protect your information. No online service can guarantee perfect security, but we don't store sensitive payment information ourselves, which limits our own exposure and yours.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain uses of it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [support email address]. We'll respond within a reasonable time.

9. Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
